While this sounds great for buyers, it’s also good news for sellers. The past few years have been particularly difficult for Sarasota because Real Estate is our economy. Things are starting to change for the better, though, and we’re starting to heal and grow again.
I am proud to have grown up in Sarasota. My father, Francis W. Brown, was in the Real Estate business in Sarasota from the 50’s through the 90’s. Dad was the original manager of South Gate Shopping Center and also ran his own Real Estate firm there. He sold most of the lots in South Gate and was instrumental in its development. My mother also was a Real Estate Broker and worked for my father. I grew up in the shopping center long before Sak’s and Macy’s; back when Woolworth’s, Grants, and J.C. Penney had storefronts. My parents drove me around Bird Key when it was just narrow filled-in sand roads. I have watched Sarasota grow from a small town into the beautiful, vibrant city it is today.
I have friends and colleagues who are professionals in many fields such as Architects, Designers, Contractors, CPA’s, Insurance Agents, etc. I can help you find the contacts you may need to get a job done right the first time at a fair price. My other business is Ideal Accounting, Inc. I help people with all of their financial needs from check writing through tax preparation. I am a QuickBooks Professional Advisor and an ERO with IRS.
